After months of waiting, our brand new coffee table book for Kings Island is now on sale at the park! Featuring a couple hundred pages of photographs, concept art, and blueprints, it’s a walk down memory lane from the very beginning of the park. Actually, we start with Coney Island, its predecessor, then just keep going through the decades.
The park was kind enough to give me access to their archives, and I have to give a huge shout-out to John Keeter, who provided a big bunch of photos, brochures, and other goodies. He’s the ultimate Super Fan for KI, having collected tons of stuff from over the years. You’ve read his articles on KI’s blog, and he wrote a feature on the park’s 50th anniversary in one of the latest ACE Roller Coaster magazines. So, thanks John!
For the next several weeks the book is available exclusively at the park, both in their shops and the online store. You can grab your copy here on the website at the end of February. The reviews I’ve seen so far have been exceptionally positive—people are loving the walk through the park’s history. You can find more information here. I’d love to hear what you think about the book, so let me know.
