What’s not included

  1. Short-run or offset print manufacturing. This is recommended if you anticipate needing a large quantity of books to sell yourself at events or on your website (roughly 500 or more) because it’s cheaper per-unit. Print runs are required for a deluxe edition or other special features. You would cover the cost and we will help set it up with a printer. We can warehouse these copies for a small fee, or we can ship copies to you (you cover shipping). If we sell books direct from our site we reserve a small portion of revenue.

  2. Copies for you to sell. We're happy to place the order for you and have them delivered directly to your door.

  3. In-depth editing and development. We will not write your book for you. When we initially review your manuscript, we will let you know if it requires more work. You can hire your own editor or writer or select our Developmental Editing Package. It's a lot of work, so be prepared to spend a good amount toward this. Necessary...but worth it.

  4. Marketing campaigns. We aren't a sales team—we help build exposure in the industry, academic institutions, and retailers like Amazon, but we don't do paid advertising or try to convince book sellers to carry your book. That's part of your strategy for building your brand—the more you become known, everything starts to snowball.

  3. You keep 80% sales revenue from copies we sell or manage, if you want us to handle sales through Amazon, Ingram, and direct from our site. 4. Copies you order to sell yourself cost you only manufacturing, shipping, and handling. You keep 100% sales revenue (remember, it's your book!).
