Six Flags Over Georgia

Take a tour of Six Flags Over Georgia in 1969, two years after it opened. It’s mostly the same as opening year, so you get a good sense of the original design ideas and implementation. Follow along with the book for an explanation of each land in the park; we’ll walk counter-clockwise starting at the front gate.

USA consisted mostly of a few flat rides, the Chevy Show, and a Sid & Marty Crofft show theater. The Sky Hook was a transplant from Six Flags Over Texas, moved over in 1969.
